Edmonton Stingers History
The Edmonton Stingers are two-time champions of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The Stingers competed in the CEBL’s inaugural 2019 season, finishing in second place before falling in the postseason semifinals. However, redemption was close behind as the Stingers secured their first CEBL Championship in 2020, then repeated the feat in 2021, becoming the league’s first back-to-back title winners. Both runs followed dominant regular season performances, in which the Stingers topped the league and set the CEBL’s all-time highest regular season winning percentage (.929) with a 13-1 record in 2021. The Edmonton Stingers organization has accrued multiple accolades, including 10 All-CEBL selections, three MVPs and two Coach of the Year Awards.

Edmonton Stingers at Edmonton EXPO Centre
The Edmonton Stingers have competed in The Flair Airlines Hangar at the Edmonton EXPO Centre since their inaugural 2019 season. The 4,628-seat arena sits within the larger Edmonton EXPO Centre complex, which is located in the City of Edmonton’s Montrose neighborhood. The venue opened in 1984 and has hosted many conferences, exhibitions and hockey matches over the years. The Edmonton EXPO Centre hosted the 2021 CEBL Championship, where the Stingers won on their home court.

Great entertainment for all ages. Loved the energy throughout the evening. Arena staff were very helpful and anticipated our needs. The game was great to watch in person and well played.

A lot of fun! Cheap prices for good basketball! Everyone there was friendly, including the players at the autograph session after! Would strongly recommend everyone to go out and watch a game!
First time attending Edmonton basketball game, and it did not disappoint. It was so fun, the atmosphere was amazing and energized. Getting tickets was easy. Most definitely going again!

Took my 8 year old son to his first basketball game as a birthday present. The music was fantastic and played throughout the game. My son liked the stinger mascot dance moves, contests, and entertainment. I was amazed that he was able to stay in his seat and watch the entire game. I was at the edge of my seat. Such a close game. Impressed with the speed and outstanding moves. Truly talented players that could sink balls from far away. First time I saw a slam dunk. Loved the team spirit. Very professional sportsman like game. Even the crowd quite reasonable for a child to sit with and join in cheering. Cost effective. We will be back for more games. Fingers-crossed a kids jersey or t-shirt will be available next time.
Honestly, we got $20 tickets and the value is unmatched. High level basketball, great in game experience, cheap snacks and just a great atmosphere.
We always have a great time when we go to signers games. Great basketball action with a fun family friendly environment for a reasonable price. Feel the buzz!
Wasn't sure what to expect being our first time going. But my son and I really enjoyed it! He's a major b ball fan, and he was loving every minute of it!! Awesome energy in there!! Will definitely go again!!
